Palto Alto Networks and the Girl Scouts have come up with 18 merit badges that can be earned.

Hacking prevention will not be the only badge available to earn; programs are also being made available for cyberbully prevention, data privacy, and how to stay safe online.

“At Girl Scouts of the USA, we recognize that in our increasingly tech-driven world, future generations must posses the skills to navigate the complexities and inherent challenges of the cyber realm,” said Sylvia Avecedo, chief executive officer, Girl Scouts of the USA.

Courses will start in September of 2018.
